ProLine P 52000 VPD Voltage Presence Detector
Railway and Industrial Application Solution for Monitoring Voltages from 50 – 4200 V AC/DC
ProLine P 52000 VPD detects the presence of voltage. The input signal is compared to a threshold value and the resulting binary information is galvanically isolated and transmitted to the output circuit. When the input voltage exceeds the set threshold value, a solid state relay opens, signaling the presence of voltage at the input. The signal of the solid state relay can control a hardware relay, for example, or be fed into a safety device or controller. The signal levels are based on type 1, EN 61131-2 PLC signal inputs. The threshold value applies regardless of the sign of the input voltage’s absolute value. In other words, the solid state relay will be triggered as soon as the positive threshold value is exceeded or the input voltage is below the negative threshold. 10 default threshold values can be selected using the rotary switch on the front of the device. Units with user-defined values are also available. VariTrans P 41000 High Voltage Transducer
The VariTrans P 41000 isolation amplifiers have been specially conceived for measurements of bipolar voltages from millivolts to volts. They reliably isolate high potentials at the input circuit. The isolating distances are designed to withstand permanent voltages up to 3600 V AC/DC and fast transients up to 20 kV. Protection against electric shock is achieved through protective separation according to EN 61140 between input and output and power supply. ProLine P 51000 High Voltage Transducer
Maximum flexibility is achieved through a new housing concept – specifically designed for rolling stock. With integrated broadrange power supply and a unique combination of safety functions. Electric as well as diesel-electric locomotives and multiple units (EMU/DEMU) require multifold monitoring and control of electric energy. P45000 High-voltage transducer
The P45000-series transducers are designed for measuring high DC and AC voltages on heavy vehicles, especially rolling stock. Application examples include the monitoring and control of traction motors or the monitoring of DC link voltage in traction power converters or on-board power converters.
The voltage measurement input is highly isolated from output and auxiliary power. The current output is compatible with commercially available control inputs.
The housing offers flexible mounting options: upright or horizontal, screwed or snapped onto 35 mm DIN rails. The devices can even be mounted in a stack, allowing for very tight space requirements.
For the first time, applications with functional safety requirements can be properly carried out. The high-voltage transmitter is certified for use in SIL2 systems and, redundantly, SIL3. Thus, for example, the presence of dangerously high voltages can be reliably detected.
